Restore my iphone5? Help!

I downloaded the newest update for my iphone 5. The update downloaded but insttead of install showed iTunes icon with plug and arrow. When I tried to install from iTunes, message that my phone would have to be restored to factory... Since my phone was synced with my husbands iPad we backed up everything recent to the cloud. Now I am ready to restore my phone but don't know how to get from there to restoring all my stuff from there. Help? I love all the tech gadgets but at 70 am not real literate at resolving problems.😕
