iphone4 do not delete individual text messages, only entire conversations, how do I fix that

My iphone4 do not have the feature to delete individual text messages, the Edit feature only takes me to delete the entire conversation, how do I fix that?

I have updated to the latest and still does not have it.

Please help

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4
