Q: Safari Bookmarks. Please bring back the old view style

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Why mess with something that was perfectly fine, just because it's the new OS?

I don't see Apple changing the way these Community pages look either, eh? So why mess with our stuff in the new OS and App updates?

I hate the way it looks in the new style down the left with the bigger lettering and the grey. I liked the simplicity and ease of the old style.

How do I go back to that? Is there something I could do in the style sheets or something, or are any of you App hackers out there capable of changing code so I can bring back the old style?

Go to the 'Bookmarks menu > Edit bookmarks'

Poke around some more, you may find other things you like.

Nope.

I just want the old list view when you enable "Show Bookmarks"

Not this new style of the grey list and the folders opening downwards.

Oh how I wish they would stop messing with what was fine to begin with.

I mean look at the Apple website - they haven't touched the basic layout there, have they? They should give us the options to stay with certain old style layouts because they are fine.

Anybody know how to bring it back?

At present your only option is to complain to Apple through their Feedback page.

bookmarks in safari 6.1 is horrible.

I made a post to apple about this, and I choose to post my views here as well.

Right! In the previous version, when you view EDIT BOOKMARKs you would see the Title AND the path (URL) for each bookmark all visible in one window (a nice white one). That is efficiency!

This latest update is all gray, and I have to click around to get my info to show. Editing bookmarks has now become at least two-step process. not thought out and unattractive.

I made a separate post about this, and I will say it here: Please return the previous method for viewing and editing bookmarks!
