My iCal is frozen on November. I can't access it to check dates. it shows a message saying"Upgrading Ical calendars' and I can't change months or input data or use any functions. Any ideas?

Paste this text ~/Library into the Finder>Go>Go to Folder...window and select "Go." This will open the Users Library Folder.
Then open the Calendars Folder and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop.
Next open the Preferences Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop.
Log out/in or restart, and open Calendar.

Worked like a charm after I upgraded an older MacBook to 10.7 and was stuck with "Upgrading iCal Calendars..." message. Thank you Ferd II.

Hi Ferd,
I was having the same problem, but have an additional one to that. My ical seems to be incapable of merging with icloud, i get the error message:
Server responded: "403" to operation CalDAVMigrateToServerQueueableOperation.
It says it couldn't move my calendars to Icloud because this error occurred. I have tried signing out of icloud, back in, restarting the computer etc.. im lost.
Also, with all the files we moved to our desktop from the previous issue, can i trash them?
