iOS 7.0.4 killed battery in my iPhone 4

After upgrading to 7.0.4 on my iPhone 4 my battery will not keep charge for longer than 8 hours in standby with all apps closed. I go to bed with more than 95% battery and wake up with a completely dead phone. Prior to downloading the new upgrade, I would lose maybe 3% overnight. Is this a common issue?
