iPhone 5 charger not working

Hello. I've recently updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7.0.4 and my charger stopped working.

It doesn't charge, it says it may not be certified and when I plug it in my PC, it can't be recognized even by the latest version of iTunes.

I have the official iPhone 5 charger that came together with the phone when I bought it. Neither the charger nor the iPhone is broken, so why

doesn't it work and why does it say it's not certified? By the way, it was working just fine before the update but even then it was

shown as uncertified. I tried to reboot the iPhone but it didn't work.

Please help.
