newbie question - griffin itrip with dock connector

apologies if I've used the wrong forum (it seemed the most appropriate that would let me post a topic)

I've just bought a griffin itrip with dock connector for my 20G Iphoto. When I plug it in there is no LED display on the itrip. Can anyone help?
