Latest OS X update disabled HDMI signal

Updated OS from mountain lion to mavericks with no problems.

Apple pushed an update to Mavericks which I installed last night and it disabled my mac mini's (i5 processor) HDMI output (sound & video).

I did a hard shutdown and reboot but still no display on my 47" LED TV.

It was working perfectly before the latest update. Now what?

Sounds like I would need to take it to an Apple store and have them revert it to the previous OS if possible.

I thought updates were supposed to improve performance not hinder performance.
