Why does my iphone 5 keep displaying cable or acessory not certified even when not charging? New apple cable bout and still happening. How do i sort it out?

Help i need to know how to stop this message from flashing up every minute and draining my battery.

This cable or acessory is not certified and may not work with thr iphone.

I am using apple charger cables and just purchased a new one but still happening!

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

That message is indicating that the iPhone needs to be restored.

Have you restored it by connecting it to your computer and restoring with iTunes?

If you have and this continues to happen that is abnormal and you should take it to the Apple Store so that they can check it out.
