deleted my 'hosts' file - help!

I accidentally deleted my \etc hosts file - can anyone give me an idiot's guide of how to recreate the file?

I was trying to solve a problem with Google Chrome which has stopped working returning an SSL error and a forum entry suggested i deleted the hosts file - which i did - it didn't solve the problem. Then i read further down the thread and realised i'd made a mistake deleting it. I'm an idiot - i know.

Can anyone tell me walk me through recreating the in textedit then doing the terminal thing to sort this out??
