warranty on ipod touch 4th generation

I'm looking at buying an iPod touch 4th generation for my son. Is there a warranty that apple has with these? Say a manufactorer warranty?

iPod touch, iOS 7.0.4

The warranty on the iPod touch will have started when it was originally sold by an authorized Apple dealer. If you're buying old stock from such a dealer, then you should have the full warranty. If you're buying from a private party or unauthorized dealer, then you'll have only whatever warranty remains from that time that seller bought the iPod. If you want to be certain you get a full warranty but don't have or don't want to pay the price for a new fifth-generation iPod touch, consider a refurbished fourth-gen unit from Apple:

I'd recommend a fifth-gen unit, though. The fourth gen model already can't run the latest version of iOS, iOS 7, and there are starting to be apps that therefore won't run in the older model.

Regards.
