Volume control appears on screen, and won't go away, partially blocking screen, especially text box. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

Hi, I tried this Clyde and it did work for a minute, however the display comes back and the volume won't turn up and I had to reset it all over again. I can I keep it off and the volume control button up.

Do a

Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data

check the headphone jack for lint or debris, canned air works well

if no result

Press and hold BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

if no result

remove any case and screen protector

if no result

reset all settings

settings-general-reset-reset all settings

now reconnect to wifi

settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join

if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

Thank you! I thought I was going to have to buy a new iPad. I was having to restart it numerous times a day!!! I've taken the case off and it appears (touch wood) to have solved the problem. I have bought a different case, a lot cheaper than a new iPad (although I did quite fancy theipad Pro )

When I try this with my iPhone 7, it just takes a screenshot. And I held down the two buttons for as long as 20 seconds. Three tries and it still just grabs a screen shot.

I have been able to make it go away by adjusting the volume buttons up and down, but it still comes back later.
