either export to the desktop and upload to Shuterfly from there or use the media browser to select the photos to upload

Shutterfly need to update their plug-in. In the meantime
For help accessing your photos in iPhoto see this user tip:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4491
You need the first option.
So when they update their plug-in what good will that do for me?
When i export my photos doesn't that store them twice on my computer?
Not if they do it correctly - details about third party software operation comes from teh developers - not here
and not if you use the media browser to upload as suggested in my first post
And if you export then you upload and then delete the exported photos
So to answer your question - No!

When I export, I export to an "Exported Photos" folder on my desktop and I trash the contents before every use.
I have discovered the answer for this issue on my computer. The uploader needs to first read all of the images, so as others have pointed out, don't select any images at first, and click EXPORT. Choose Shutterfly and ALL (yes all) of your pictures will populate. Allow it to populate them and then click cancel. Then, I selected the pictures in iPhoto I wanted (by holding down the command key) until I selected all that I wanted uploaded. Select Export again, choose Shutterfly and you will now see just the photos you selected. It allowed me then to upload to a NEW folder. Hope this helps someone.
I created a folder on the Desktop and it does have a few photos. how do I get the folder into Shutterfly. I never heard of it until a few days ago. I did create a Shutterfly account.
Contact Shutterfly for when with their service.

I thought I saw a suggestion by Keith Barley about putting an iPhoto album on the desktop but there was no follow up as to how to get the full album into Shutterfly. Surely someone must have done it. The help suggestion from Shutterfly was very confusing to me. I cululd not find a way to send an email to Shutterfly. I hate to put some user software on my MacBook Pro. I also don'l like to use Adobe Flash
Then you have a problem you need to address with Shutterfly as their uploader requires Flash.
I did allow flash for this site. I created slideshow loading 10 photos at a time. I wanted to share it. I hit send but that didn't seem to do anything. Their help is not very helpful. I could never find a way to send the site an email so I could explain my problem.
I did create a slideshow which I can view on my computer. I'm not sure how I can send it to a user and have them view it as a slideshow. Any suggestion would be helpful
What application did you use to create the slideshow?
