Audi 2014 MMI does not support IPOD

I just bought a Q5 Audi 2014 and when connecting my IPod Classic the MMi system says it does not support this IPod!

I had a 2011 Q5 with the same connector and it worked perfectly!

Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

I resolved the problem like this!

I went back to the dealer and compared the two wires, the one from my 2011 compared to the wire of the 2014.

The 2 wires look alike but the 2011 has a blue ring at one end end the 2014 has a red ring around it!

That right there is the difference!

The red wire is incompatible with the Classic 160 Gig. You need the wire with the blue ring!

The same as the one in the 2011 model.

Mind you Audi might want to charge you for the wire, that is for you to resolve with them, also note that the blue wire will NOT work with the Iphone 5S or some of the newest IPODS, check the compatibility list of both wires.

Have a good New Year!
