FaceTime won't connect

Hi! Last weekend FaceTime asked me to log in (which it never does) and then continuously gave me an error message that read, "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." Even after a week to sit and think about what it had done, it's still happening. I ran all my system updates and have had no issues with anything else on my computer. My username/password are correct. Is anyone familiar with this issue? Thank you in advance.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
