First thing to check is in terminal to see if ical is actually running.

    sh-3.2# serveradmin status calendar

    calendar:state = "RUNNING"

    calendar:setStateVersion = 1

    calendar:readWriteSettingsVersion = 1

If it is stuck in STARTING it might trouble with migrating data. At least that was my case.

    Hi

Can you verify the problem is confined to your local/private network only? I ask because I can access your server and the web calendar service (as far as the user login prompt) fine on port 443 externally.

Externally your reverse DNS appears slightly odd? Maybe your server is having an identity crisis as server.etlivin.com resolves to your MX record mail.server.etlivin.com and when I try and resolve your MX it resolves nowhere. Your domain however does resolve to its external IP address fine but on the reverse resolves to what your ISP (Infoweb) has set up for that block of addresses. I have to ask how many servers do you have? I mention this because it could be related to the problem you're having on your local/private network? Properly constructed forward and reverse DNS must be set up first for local/private networks when behind a firewall/NAT. Once you've done and assuming you want external access as well then both DNS views should match each other in terms of naming convention. The only thing that changes would be the IP addresses depending on your location.

That said I've seen the problem you've described a number of times before and in no specific order it can be caused by:

    Sloppy DNS

    Malformed or Expired Certificate

    A corrupted or failing database(s) hard drive/directory

    Corrupted POSIX permissions

A failing device that is externally attached such as another hard drive, keyboard/mouse

Finally a seemingly unimportant power outage can cause all sorts of problems similar to the list above. The above list is not exhaustive but is a good place to start.

What do the relevant logs report when you see those messages?

    HTH?
