My MacBooks battery is not charging, its plugged in but not charging or dying. I dont get a light when plugging in the chord. Is it the laptops battery or the charger? How can i fix this? thanks

If the charger light doesn't turn on, it looks like a charger issue.
First try to reset the SMC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 Then, open System Information (in /Applications/Utilities), select Power in the sidebar and copy here "Charge Information" and "Health Information"

Your charger is damaged. Take the MacBook Pro and your charger to an Apple Store or reseller to get it replaced for free if it's in warranty, or if your Mac is not in warranty, buy another charger

What in the above values can tell me what is wrong with my machine or charger
I have similar battery problem too.
It's Macbook pro 13", was in sleeping (not shut down) and put away for some time (maybe 3 weeks). When I fount it and turned it on, it can work only when MagSafe adaptor is plugged in. The battery is totally dead (0%) and cannot be charged anymore. The charging adapter light keeps red. I tried to reset the SMC (pressing ****-Control-option and power button), tried to reinstall the operation system, but the problem is still there. I am really frustrated. Do I really have to replace the battery? The charging cycle count is only 35!
