My nano plays sound thru headphones but there is no soung when used on Bose station. It is not the station as I have another nano which plays on it. I have sent the problematic nano back to apple but they found no fault.Ant ideas?
From what you mentioned above, it is clearly that some problem of the dock of your Nano, have you tried to play your Nano with it connecting with your computer?
Have tried that..it works. My ipod will charge on the bose so obviously power getting thru just wont play sound. It is so frustrating!!!!Is there anything on the nano itself that needs to be switched on in order to use the Bose???
I am clutching at straws here?????
The docking of iPod is a two ways traffic, manages to get charge does not mean it can transmit the audio signal from your Nano to your Bose, that why I asked you whether you can play your Nano via connecting with your computer.
It doesn't happen often, but on occasion after docking the iPod into a Bose - or any other sound system that uses the port - no sound comes out. Just reset the iPod.
Sorry to be pain in the @ss but have reset and restored nano.Tried it on another set of speakers hey presto it worked but still no sound from Bose?????????
I am spending so much effort on this its making me really mad.LOL
You say you tried it on another set of speakers - do those speakers connect to the Nano in the same way? If so it is the Bose. If not I'd say call AppleCare.
I had the same issue - thought is was the Bose, so I exchanged it - but still no sound. Then I tried turning off the IPOD (when it was out of the dock), and only turning it on when it was on the Bose dock- it worked!
