Bookmarks and saved passwords

I just did a fresh install of Mavericks and now i am lost on what settings to be checked for making safari pulls all the saved favorites and passwords that were there prior to the installation. I heavily used Safari and having a hard time believing that there might be no option in safari to pull that data back. I was of the opinion that all those data must have been automatically synchronized with iCloud server.

Would appreciate if anybody can provide some helpful pointers.
