i have a new samsung phone and still get my test messages on my old iphone

Deactivate iMessage on your iPhone.

If you're not using your iPhone anymore but plan on keeping it...

On the iPhone...

• Settings > Messages > iMessage > Off
• Settings > FaceTime > Off
• Settings > iCloud > (scroll down) Delete Accout (this only unregisters and deletes it off the iPhone)
• Settings > iTunes & App stores. Tap the AppleID and sign out.

Remove the SIM card from iphone

I got the messages to stop going to the old iphone but now the messages won't come in to the new phone at that same number
