iPad no sound stuck on headphone mode

Stuck on headphone mode try inserting headphone still no sound didn't drop or damage my ipad the only thing I know is I use a credit card scanner thru headphone jack. I don't know now it's just stuck on headphone mode no sound with headphone plug in either.. Please help I try everything so far

The solution for my iPad 3 running OS 7 was to turn the airplane mode on and off - no idea why that works. Apparently moisture in the headphone port could be creating an incorrect input that the headphones are in - try blowing air from a hair dryer into the port for a minute or two.

Turging airplane mode on and off worked for me too. Unbelievable...
