With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

Most of this is over my head.

when I run the itunes diagnostic i noticed this message:

    Firewall Information

    Windows Firewall is on.

iTunes is enabled in Windows Firewall.

Connection attempt to Apple web site was successful.

Connection attempt to browsing iTunes Store was successful.

Connection attempt to purchasing from iTunes Store was successful.

Connection attempt to iPhone activation server was successful.

Connection attempt to firmware update server was unsuccessful.

    The network connection timed out.

Connection attempt to Gracenote server was successful.

Last successful iTunes Store access was 2013-11-19 12:50:13.

    What does the "unsuccessful" mean?

Hello, I had this same problem and tried all suggested fixes, I fixed the problem by resetting my internet connection after reinstalling itunes. Pull plugs out of wireless modem and router, plug back in, problem was resolved :)

    Cheers!
