How do I resume a project

Hi, I've done a lot of work on a project and have more to do. However I shut down iMovie last night and when I reopened it today the project had been placed in the 'project library' as if it was a completed project. I can't get it back into the workspace to add to it. I did not finalise the project, simply closed down iMovie. I'm using version 11. 9.0.8 (1778). I really don't want to lose all the work I'v e done, any help appreciated.
