Q: My music randomly deleted!

My 5th generation ipod randomly deleted my music twice when i plugged it into my computer. It had never done that before so i didnt know why it would. What is really confusing is the music still appears on itunes but not my ipod. But on itunes it has the circle with the '!' on the side. I dont know how to put the music back onto my ipod. Please help.

The ? means that iTunes can't find the actual song file. You can confirm that by trying to play the song in iTunes on the computer. To resolve:
- iTunes: Finding lost media and downloads
- Delete and redownload
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
or reimport for non-iTunes purchases.
