What is the best way to work out the price of developing my app?

Basically I have an app I want on the App Store and just wanted to know how to go about the pricing, I know that it can cost thousands I just need an average figure. The app would send information including a picture and GPS location to a website which would then be processed and communication would continue.

I would like advice.
