Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have tried the method been discussed here ie hold both the Home button and the on/off till the Apple sign appear. It doesn't work that the Newsstand app still cannot pinch to close. I've even deleted all the subscription to this app. Nothing happened. I have to hold on the Home button or to slide off the power to get it close. What now? Thanks.

Just press Home button once to close Newsstand.
You can also close app in the multi-task window.
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen
OK thanks, closed. Looks like this app cannot be close by pinching except by hitting the home button everything time.

That does not work on iPad 2 with 7.0.4....
Seems that wie have to wait fot 7.9.9. to fix the bug 😟
