Thanks for the reply Luis.
Yes I am sure that there is no keyframe at the place where I seek for one.
I have not known till now that: ' After setting a first keyframe, you can automatically add new keyframes at other places by simply modifying the value of the parameter - e.g. by modifying the opacity in the place where you wanted to add the second keyframe, it will be added for you'
Now I can understand why I have been able to see the 'keyframe parameter' effected though there was no active icon or drop-down menu 'option' that had been clicked. But, the situation is not always so...I have encountered places where there have been no changes effected in the parameter even though the values had been changed at the desired new location.
Thanks for the info related to changing of the opacity in the video animation region. FYI I use this region only to bring in some fade ins and fade outs...but have not yet attempted to carry out regular editing in this mode. But, since you have mentioned it, I guess that there are greater benefits when editing of the clips are carried out at this place. I can say that I am just now getting the hang of things as to how one should use the trim and crop tools in the inspector window! Shall try poking my way around in this video animation region also!
BTW, I need to mention this: the problem which I faced while trying to put in a fresh keyframe [for opacity] was encountered by me when I was trying to place it in two of three clips which were part of a split screen sequence...the split screen being Crumplepop. I had no trouble in keyframing the left video clip, but had trouble when dealing with the top right and bottom right clips. In this connection, {you know this already}, my experience with regular clips [those not part of a split screen] has been this: after the initial keyframe has been added, there is no means of adding the next or subsequent keyframes from either the icon or drop-down menu option located at the right side of the opacity bar. However, when one goes to the top of this 'compositing window', the drop-down menu at this location has an active 'add keyframe' option and I use this 'add keyframe' to add multiple keyframes where required and when needed. However, I hope that your: 'After setting a first keyframe, you can automatically add new keyframes at other places by simply modifying the value of the parameter - e.g. by modifying the opacity in the place where you wanted to add the second keyframe, it will be added for you' should work for me also, and is more simple too!
Sooo much to learn and anyway there should be no problem since my brain is also tooo empty!
Thanks and take care!
