Suddenly today [Wed 20 Nov 2013], my iMac will not play the video clips on my Yahoo homepage nor will it play a slideshow of pictures sent to me by a friend. My video player software is Quicktime. Do I need to update my Quicktime software? How do I do that? Other suggestions? Dr. Stephen W. Queener

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), video player is Quick Time, iTunes

The videos on Yahoo are Flash videos. It's quite possible the slideshow from your friend is as well. You may need to update your Flash player (available at the Adobe website.)
