External Video Output from LPX

Is there any way to play an external video feed out of Logic Pro X as it is in Logic Pro 9?

I am using a BlackMagic UltraStudio mini Monitor video card that works with every other app but not LPX. Even in LP9 there is no problem with the video output but there isn't even an option for outputting video from LPX. If there is I can not find it. At least not under the most obvious locations in the settings menus.

I am NOT looking for a work around. I just want to know how to output external video with Logic Pro X just as easy as with Logic Pro 9.

For some unknown reason it's been removed from Logic-X, no one knows if it will make a return or not.

That is a major let down. Shouldn't be that hard to implement the same output as the old software.

Who knows... maybe Apple didn't think upgrading Garageband users would need a professional video feed, or perhaps they think that the improved multi-monitor/screen functions in OS Maverick could do the same job?

If anything I'm guessing Apple feels that "style" of video work is old hat and are just not going to support something they believe is on the way out.

I have put my faith in FCPX and was very glad to see that LPX could import the FCPXML but no "pro" video output? That is a very bad move by Apple. But there will be some reveal in december so hopefully there will be some kind of upgrade/update. Until then I will be working with the "old" version of Logic Pro.

Any admins watching?

Use Logic's built-in feedback to request 3rd party video support be returned to Logic-x.

Form submitted. Now only time will show if there will be a responce or nothing will be done with the big problem every post audio for video person has with Logic Pro X.

The new mega update came but nothing really new... Just sum bug fixed. A real letdown for me as a video guy 😟
