My web developer deleted my hosting account

My web developer deleted my hosting account and I lost all my emails. I did not back up my emails on my Macbook either thinking my emails were saved on the cloud. No email back up on my hosting agreement as it turns out. Would Apple Mail have taken a local copy or saved in the cache? Thank you for your help
