About this Mac > Memory is not correct!

I have a 1T HD and am trying to transfer to a 500gb SSD. I have about 560 stored on my HD, so I went in and deleted about 85gb of video files. When I started About this Mac > Memory > showed that I had 290gb of movies. After I sent in and deleted all the files it still shows 290gb. When I right click on the Movies folder and go to Get Info it shows that there is only 205gb in the folder.

My trash bin is completely empty.

I have shut down and restarted my computer several times.

I have even waiting a few days to see if the info would update over time.

Any suggestions?

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Reindex Spotlight for your OS X volume (Macintosh HD), which is the Mac OS X service that controls what you see there > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2409?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

So do I drag and drop my HD file into the window? When I do I get this message:

"Are you sure you want to prevent Spotlight from searching in "Microsoft HD"?

If you exclude this location from Spotlight searches, the search feature won't work in some applications."

This worked, thank you!!! Been googling for hours!

One questions, when I go into Memory it shows the correct space, but everything is classfied as "other". Is that something I should be concerned with?
