Deleting files off my Mac Pro then retrieving them off my Time Capsule.

I need to create space on my flash disc storage of my Retina Display for my photography photos. I still use all my files and apps I have, but since I back up on a Time Capsule (2TB) (which i purchased last year) frequently, can I delete the files etc on my Mac Pro but retrieve them from the TC if I need them again? Thanks everyone 🙂

No - Time Machine is not for archival purposes. You can rely, to a certain extent, on hard drives but if I were you I would buy a nice, professional grade Blu-ray device and use Blu-ray media to archive your data. I've been using dual-layer discs for years but am about ready to make the upgrade to Blu-ray after Christmas.

Good luck,

Clinton
