Nov 21, 2013 12:44 AM in response to raminsrby A-r-t-h-u-r,★HelpfulI got the same problem when I install the win8 first time.
You need to choose "EFI" when you reboot the computer.
You can not choose the "windows" to boot the installation.
When I choose that, I got the same situation as yours.
But I meet another problem.
When I finish the installation, I can't use the keyboard and mouse after reboot the computer for windows setting.
The "boot camp support software" can not support this new 2013 late MBPR.
I don't know how to fix it.

Nov 21, 2013 4:30 PM in response to raminsrby A-r-t-h-u-r,I use the OSX bootcamp to build up the win installation USB. Then I use that to reboot the computer.
It was shown that Mac/recovery/USB/EFI. I will have two usb option. So I try them all.
Only EFI can works good, but mouse/keyboard faild after installation.
So you can use the bootcamp to build up the installation. try it

Nov 23, 2013 3:33 PM in response to raminsrby P3rf3ctvo1d,To install Windows 8.1 on the partition you made when using Boot Camp Assistant, format the partion BOOTCAMP or similar name which has the memory amount you chose to NTFS by selecting advanced options in the windows 8.1 setup and when you've done that install it on that partion or it does it automatically for you.

Jan 31, 2014 9:32 AM in response to raminsrby JesliPaige,Right now Boot Camp does not support Windows 8.1 it only supports Windows 8. You will have to wait until Apple upgrades Boot Camp OR you can use a program called Parallels.
