Aug 20, 2014 2:26 PM in response to greg sahliby azuremedia,I appreciate the information you provided, Greg, but I question how accurate Apple's list of printer drivers is, given, as but one example, the fact that it states that the latest driver for the HP LaserJet 6MP is 19.8, while the latest driver for that printer that can be downloaded from Apple's Software Update, and which I have installed for my own 6MP, is 9.4. Given the gap between versions 9.4 and 19.8, I rather doubt that there have been 10 version releases since the last update on August 3. HP and Apple need to get on the same page with regard to this situation.

Aug 20, 2014 3:53 PM in response to azuremediaby greg sahli,I just installed a fake LJ 6MP (you can do this using IP/LPD, and bypass the printer setup step). The driver version listed is 19.8.
Is it possible you have an older version installed, that needs to be deleted from /Library/Printers? Delete the HP folder there, after using Finder Go menu > go to folder.
BTW - we are all users just like you. Apple employees rarely participate here. If you need to notify them, use Apple.com/feedback.

Aug 20, 2014 8:02 PM in response to greg sahliby azuremedia,Thanks for the further explanation, Greg. After reading your last message, I opened the Printers & Scanners panel in System Preferences, and checking the Settings for the 6MP, saw that I indeed have version 19.8 already installed. The version 9.4 to which I had previously referred is what is shown when choosing the 6MP icon in Home>Library>Printers in the Finder. I'm not sure why there is a discrepancy between the two, but the bottom line is that I do have the latest driver for the 6MP -- 19.8 -- installed. Regrettably, it does nothing to correct the problem noted by myself and others earlier in this discussion — to wit, the fact that Landscape orientation does NOT work with custom paper sizes in Mavericks.
