Can we have two ICloud accounts on ipad
Does there need to be separate logins to the iPad? I want us bothe to be able to have out preferences and iCloud accounts on our iPad. Is that possible or do we need to just keep it to one?

You can't use iCloud to set up separate "user accounts" on your iPad like you can with a computer. YOur iPad is designed for a single user. You can have multiple iCloud accounts on it as discussed in the article you were reading, but this will not give you access to all iCloud services for two separate users.
