Q: logic x keeps downloading drum kits

As of today, Logic's alert window said I was missing some updated content and asked if I wanted to download it. A window popped up with all Logic's VIs along with check boxes and info on what was installed and what needed updating. I checked 3 drummer boxes and Logic downloaded and installed 4 gbs worth of data. I then restarted Logic and it asked me do the same thing all over again! So, I repaired permissions and restarted the computer. Now, I've launched Logic and it's telling me to install the same updated instruments. I'm doing it again but I have a feeling I'm in "Update ****......". Any thoughts?

The audio system/ Core Overload problem... is an unrelated issue for this thread..

Please start a new thread or refer to one of the many existing threads/support docs relating to this subject...

Well, I'm not sure if I fixed this issue, or, it cured itself. Today I disconnected my mac from the internet and started it up. I then started up Logic and quit it. Finally, I reconnected to the web, started Logic (no message this time sayng I need to update anything), checked the download additional content window and saw that everything was up to date. Hmmm. Moving on!

I'm not saying it was a related issue, I was just ranting because it happened to come up at the same time. I was actually able to solve it this time by forcing Fusion Drive to put all my content on the ssd.

Hey David,

Yes, I can confirm the server bug was fixed this AM and three of my clients who were having the same issue are all reporting no problems this afternoon. However, some servers in different parts of the world are still awaiting the rollout of the fix so bear with it if anyone is still getting the "Outdated" issue...

Also note you may have to quit and restart Logic for the server info to be correctly updated...

Yes....

The good news is there is now a system in place for providing content updates (and maybe new additions) and notifying Users of this via the content download system which is where the bug came into play.. Maybe they were testing it?
