Why don't you connect it up and try it out? The drivers may well be included in 10.6. Try it and see. If it does not work you are not going to break anything.

It has been recently updated, so run Software Update to get the latest version. Just connect the printer and the print queue should be set up. For more information:

SoftWare Update is the second item in the Apple Menu at the extreme left of the menu bar, or can be accessed from System Preferences. You should probably connect the printer via USB initially - I'm not sure whether Software Update will recognize it if connected wirelessly, though it well may.

Should be. Go to Applications>'Canon Utilities'>'Print queue - Utilities'

In the pane which opens click 'Printer Setup' in the toolbar. The 'General' pane will tell you what the driver is - it should be 10.72.1.0

I have it but I don't remember from where - perhaps it was from the an install disk with the printer, so things may be different for you.

I found two more versions in /Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter/Utilities, the later one being 10.72.3.
