Q: How do I set my geographic location on Safari for Maveric?
My Safari Browser shows my location as Seattle WA. This follows over to FaceBook, etc. Google is showing Seattle WA, but I know where to go to change my geolocation on Google. Should I do a geosearch with Safari to help the IP address locate me? I'm using a Sierra Wireless mobile hotspot with ATT connection to 4G or 4G LTE over cell phone account. The incorrect location happens when I reset Safari for security purposes.
MacBook Air (11-INCH, MID 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Location Services (including "Find My Mac") relies on a database of known Wi-Fi access points. If Wi-Fi is not turned on, or if it's not within range of at least one of those access points, the machine won't be located at all, or the location will be wrong. Sometimes the location will be wrong because the database contains inaccurate data. There's nothing you can do in that case except to wait for it to be updated.
