Can't adjust position of lower third

Hi,

I'm getting a very frustrating issue occuring when trying to move a lower third around the frame with the transform tool.

If I select only the lower third in the timeline and hit transform it moves the whole frame around, including the video!

This is so painful.

It seems FCPX can't seperate the the lower third from the video in the clip. Moves around all together.

I want to move the lower third around the screen and place it wherever I want.

Any advice?

Cheers

Hi Russ,

Thanks for the reply.

When I change the X,Y settings in the title inspector window it still moves the whole frame??

It's almost as if the title has been pasted/hardcoded to the video. It's very strange.

As you can see below, just selecting the title in the timeline doesn't allow to transform just that, FCPX wants to transform the whole clip the title is attatched to.

… as I see, it doesn't allow ANYTHING:

when you compare to some 'regular' title:

aside the tiny blue 'Title' icon, it lacks completely the four boxes for any kind of editing (typing the title etc). So, to repeat what Tom Wolsky asked before: What title plug-in is that? What is the source/maker?

A quick Googling doesn't list any plug-in with the name 'Product Contamination' (which is, besides, some … weird name fort a title, isn't it 😉 )
