My new ipod shuffle will not recognise on my laptop. My old ipod works, and the ipod shuffle works on another computer but not my laptop where my music is, help please!

My new ipod shuffle is not linking up with itunes on my laptop. It works on my other computer but not on the one with the music. I've read the trouble shooting stuff and got nowhere with that. Help, please!

Are you using the same USB cable on the two computers?

Make sure the laptop is connected to its power adapter (so that it's not running on battery power). Also, try disconnecting all other USB devices and connecting the shuffle by itself to a direct USB port on computer.
