Exporting from ION recording into I-Tunes

I have an ION Profile Pro that I use to record old 33 Albums and cassettes into the I-Tunes Library. I orignally used this on a computerr with Windows Vista.

I now have a new computer with Windows 8. The software loaded okay and allows the recording process to occur. When I reach the export to I-Tunes step, the software attempts to export to I-tunes, but seems to stall and then after a minute or so, I get message that it cannot export to I - Tunes. Is this a problem with the latest version of I-tunes or a Windows 8 problem. An older version of I-Tunes comes with the ION set-up spoftware, however I get the message when loading that I already have a later version on I-tunes installed, which is correct.
