Can't connect to school wifi!! Please help!!

My school has a wi-fi network allowing students to connect all over campus. I am able to connect mostly everywhere accept for the library, which is where I would like to access internet. Everyone around me is able to connect, but I continue to have issues. What normally should happen once connected is a screen will pop up prompting you to enter your school I.D # and password. When I attempt to connect, a screen will pop up saying something like "connection time out!" I've tried almost everything, even asked the IT department who obviously weren't able to help me. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Maybe that network only allows so many user at a time and you are just not one of them. Have you tried this when no one else or only a small group of people are using the Library WiFi? Maybe it has some type of MAC filtering enabled and you have to speak to the Librarian to get your Mac listed in the MAC filtering?

Hi mate, i am currently going through the same problem, My dad owns a Windows Acer, and it connects to the school wireless and it works with the login screen and everything, but when i connect my mac, the imessage works, however the Safari Doesn't work -.-
