Sticky clear plastic on the surface

Hi All,

Macbooks like iBooks are very likely to be scratched. I would like to get a clear sticky pastic paper that we use to cover our books and put it up on the outside of the macbook. (Limiting only the top). Do you think these adhesives may discover my macbook and turn it yellow? Has anyone had experiences with stickers or adhesives they have stuck on iBooks? Please let me know.

By the very design of the MacBook, there is always going to be an area of wear and discoloration at the wrist rest area. The hands are constantly rubbing against the plastic. Until Apple puts an actual "landing" in that area, or maybe glossy paint that can resist the rubbing, there will always be problems, no matter how often Apple does warranty replacements.

As an alternative---Marware might be a help in keeping the palm rest areas protected and looking great. Just recently received this product and am quite happy with it. It isn't clear but it really is "professional.":

I guess I was not clear in stating my question. I meant to stick Scotch's self-laminating clear plastic sheets on the OUTSIDE of the macbook, that is where the Apple icon shows. This way the outside glossy cover does not get scratched. I will ONLY stick it on the top not the bottom as there is a lot of heat.

Wonder how the adhesive ages with the laminating sheets??? Obviously, the adhesive can be removed with Goo-Gone or something similiar in the future, if the sheets are difficult to remove, so that isn't a problem.

But, could the sheets possibly turn off-clear, or colorize with age and heat?

I am not sure if the adhesive will react with the surface and turn yellow. That is the only thing that bothers me. Other than that, I am sure there should be no problem. There is no heat on the outside part where the Apple logo is. So, there is no heating. Does the glossy part of macbook is actually a color? I thought it was all plastic.

Just buy the one from shieldzone jeeze, who knows how the scotch stuff will damage your MB. If you can afford to pay 1500 for the laptop then you can afford another 50 to protect your investment. No need to go ghetto.
