Using IMAP, folders are not displaying new mail

I'm using IMAP to access my emails. I also have my provider pre-sort my emails into pre-determined folders. I can access those folder without an issue, but the folder dont indicate new mail, like the Inbox folder does.

Is there a setting or something I need to do to get those folders to indicate New mail?
