Aperture Book Upload problems

I've had terrible trouble uploading a book I've made. The first version was fine, I got my copy after a few days. Then I made changes to the book layout-- nothing major, just swapping some images around and changing sizes of images.

The book generates a preview with no problems.

Then while uploading, it will simply stop sending data to the server. Using Activity Monitor on Mavericks, I can see that Aperture simply stops uploading at different times: 28Mb, 40Mb, 70Mb.

I installed Aperture on a different computer, exported my book as a library, then imported the library. Again, preview generates just fine, then the upload hangs. I've tried twice to leave it overnight but it just doesn't complete the upload.

OS 10.9

Aperture 3.5.1

This is what I've tried so far:

-repairing disk permissions on my hard drive

-holding down the option and command keys while opening aperture:

-repaired premissions

-repair database

-rebuild database

After each attempted fix, I've tried to upload the book, same problem.

Given the second computer has the same problem, I can only think of two things:

1. Something is wrong with the images I'm using. But these are the same images I used for the first book, which uploaded fine.

2. There's something wrong at the server end.

Please help! I've spent 4 days on this now and am not getting

What else changed, since you last successfully uploaded your book? Did you change any settings or install or upgrade software?

There are several reasons that might be causing your upload to fail - a firewall might be blocking the access to the server, for example Little Snitch or an Antivirus filter.

Also, it can help to disable the Energy Saver, so your Mac will not fall asleep and cause timeouts.

Is the region in your "System Preferences > Language & Region" set to the country you are currently in, and where your AppleID and Credit Card are valid?

Have you checked, if there are any problems with your AppleID? Password, security questions? Or with the shipping address and billing address? Apple Print Products - Apple Store (U.S.)

Thanks for your reply.

The firewall is off, and I don't have antivirus software installed.

I did check the Region was set correctly.

I realize that I had 90 days of phone support on Aperture and called Apple Support. Turned out the problem was wi-fi. Connecting by ethernet, the book uploaded just fine.

Very simple solution, hope it helps others.

Thanks again!
