Sony Ericsson HBH-600 connection problems
I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-600 headset and a PPC Mac Mini 1.42GHz fully updated (according to software update) running 10.4.7.
I recently tried pairing the headset with Mac which was totally successful (previous use was solely with mobile phone). The connection works fine and I can hear alerts etc both using Sound preferences and in Skype (my main intended use).
The problem comes when there is a connection problem (eg going out of range). The Bluetooth icon in the menu bar shows the 2 devices are still connected but they are not.
I think, but am not 100% sure, that this connection crash occurs when the 2 devices are connected, but the connection is not actively in use (eg when in alerts tab of sound prefs and not when in input or output tabs). I shall continue to research this but it is very boring restarting Mac each time a crash occurs.
Also, when this happens, my headset turns itself off. The headset only turns itself off after a connection problem. Not a battery issue as when I turn it back on, the headset sits in standby mode for hours and will reconnect with Mini after a restart and function correctly.
The only way I've found to re-establish the connection is to restart the Mini (logging off and turning bluetooth on and off doesn't work).
Anyone had similar issues and found a fix or workaround?
