how to delete the contacts in spotlight that has been already deleted?

for example, when I search a person name "David" in my contacts in my macbook, it doesn't appear anything because this person has been deleted, but when i typed "David" in spotlight, it actually still shows up and when i clicked the contact info, nothing comes up. I want to remove "David" in spotlight . Thanks

Yes it's called the Spotlight index, it should be deleted and recreated by the steps you tried.

Did you follow the link from the linked page to rebuild permissions? It may be worth booting to recovery mode & verify/ repairing the disk & repairing permissions in Disk Utility.

The Spotlight index is not something to mess around with so I'd simply retry the process after repairing the disk, but reboot the Mac after adding it as to the Privacy list, then remove it after the reboot to start the re-indexing.
