Is there anyway to add multiple effects to a track (i.e. the edit section like in the old GarageBand)? It seems like all that can be one is add a preset, but I liked making my own...

The "Edit" section is no longer available, but you can enlarge the "Smart Controls" panel, by dragging the upper border up, to make the Audio Units show in the "info" panel. Then you can add at least more Audio units to the predefined effects.

No problem! You are not alone - why should we suspect, that essential controls are hidden by default, if even the GarageBand Help does not mention that the panel can be resized? There is no indication of more controls in the panel anywhere.
