Q: Using cc instead of balance?

i have a balance on my itunes account from a gift card, but i need to purchase some music on a credit card. Itunes automatically takes the money from my balance, even though i have gone in and selected the Visa as my payment type. Help?

You can't change how items are charged, your balance will be used up before your credit card will be charged.

You could try gifting the music to yourself, that can only be done via a credit card : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2736 - I haven't tried gifting things to myself so I'm not sure that it will work, but I assume that it will
