Is it possible to revert to IOS 6 user interface? is it possible to change the defaul font, color and size? iOS7 is very difficult on the eyes, the pencil thin typeface is too thin for the iphone screen. There is light blue text on white and gray background, and gray text on gray and white backgrounds which makes for eyestrain, ergonomic failure. Perhaps its OK for the ipad as the screen is larger, but for iphone you need to optimize legibility above all.

You may want to explore the the options in Settings>General>Accessibility, including Increase Contrast and Bold Text.

Apple does not allow downgrading its software, for security reasons. The answers given are right : you can use bold text, and increase contrast to improve legibility. Another trick is to use a solid back background on the springboard, as the text will "pop" in front of it.
